Privacy Policy

MCUD, fully recognizing that personal information should be handled cautiously under the philosophy of respecting the personalities of individuals, handles personal information appropriately in compliance with laws and regulations, guidelines prescribed by government, and other standards concerning the protection of personal information.

  1. We clearly specify the persons responsible for the protection of personal information, and develop a management system through the establishment of internal rules.
  2. We acquire personal information by lawful and fair means.
  3. We use personal information only within the scope of the specified purposes of use and do not use it for any other purpose. We also take measures necessary to prevent use for any other purpose.
  4. We take appropriate security management measures to prevent and rectify any loss, unauthorized access, destruction, falsification, leaking, etc., of personal information.
  5. When providing personal information to third parties, we take the necessary measures in accordance with laws and regulations.
  6. We establish an internal inquiry office for complaints in relation to the handling of personal information and requests and inquiries for disclosure, correction, cessation of use, etc., of personal information, and respond to any such complaints, requests, or inquiries as promptly as possible.
  7. We work to disseminate information with respect to the proper handling of personal information by conducting in-house education and awareness programs, and also endeavor to continually review and improve our personal information protection management system.

Handling of Personal Information

MCUD uses personal information received from customers to the extent necessary to achieve the following business activities and purposes of use:

  1. Business Activities
    1. Planning, design, building, supervision, construction, management, and operation business relating to the use of real estate
    2. Building design and construction work supervision
    3. Agency and intermediary business for sale and purchase and leasing of real estate
    4. Planning, production, and implementation of advertising and events
    5. Surveying and consulting business relating to any of the preceding items
    6. Real estate renting business
    7. Sale of clothing, foods and everyday sundries (including proprietary goods and pharmaceuticals) and management of restaurants, parking lots and fuel supply business
    8. Sale of and sales consignment for admission tickets to plays, movies, musical performances, sporting events, etc.
    9. Business relating to sale and refunding of voting rights pursuant to the Act on Carrying Out, etc. Sports Promotion Vote
    10. Business incidental or relating to any of the preceding items
  2. The Purposes of Use
    The purposes of use of personal information acquired by us are as follows. To achieve those purposes of use, we may outsource the handling of personal information in some cases.
    1. To carry out the above business activities
    2. To provide personal information to third parties to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use specified in (1) above
    3. To carry out our recruitment screening activities
    4. For employment management of employees
    5. To carry out our public relations and IR activities
    6. To perform our obligations and carry out auxiliary business pursuant to laws and regulations, etc.
  3. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
    1. Other than in cases based on the provisions of laws and regulations, we may provide personal information to group companies, business partners, etc., to the extent necessary for achieving “2. Purposes of Use” mentioned above, after obtaining the consent of the individual concerned.
    2. We provide information including the name, address, telephone number and other matters necessary for business activities of the individual concerned, but such information is provided to the minimum extent necessary.
    3. In the event that personal information is provided to third parties, it is delivered in writing, by mail, telephone, FAX, email, electronic media or other such method, with due consideration to security management, and when electronic data is provided, it is delivered in encrypted form.
    4. We will discontinue provision of personal information to third parties, if requested to do so by the individual concerned. Please address any such requests to the personal information inquiry office referred to below.
  4. Handling of Anonymized Information
    1. We may prepare and use anonymized information, within the scope of the purposes referred to in “1. Business Activities” above.
    2. We may provide anonymized data to third parties for the following purposes:
      1. 1) For public purposes such as disaster countermeasures and regional development
      2. 2) For planning, development, and supply of goods, services, etc., to alliance companies
    3. In cases where we prepare anonymized information, we comply with the following matters:
      • We take appropriate processing measures in accordance with standards prescribed by laws and regulations to ensure that specific individuals cannot be identified.
      • We take security control measures in accordance with standards prescribed by laws and regulations to prevent leaking of deleted information and information relating to processing methods.
      • We announce information items included in prepared anonymized information.
      • We do not take any action to identify individuals in personal information from which anonymized information has been prepared.
  5. Disclosure, Correction, etc.
    1. In the event that we receive a request from the individual concerned or his or her agent pursuant to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information for notification of the purpose of use, disclosure, correction, cessation of use, etc. (“Disclosure, etc.”) of personal information, we will handle the request as outlined below.

      In the event that a request for Disclosure, etc., is made by a statutory agent of a minor or an adult ward or an agent to whom the individual concerned has entrusted the making of a request for Disclosure, etc., in addition to the documents referred to in 5.(1) 2) above, please enclose the following documents 1) or 2).

    3. Fees
      In the case of the following requests, please enclose a fixed amount postal money order (issued by a post office) of 1,000 yen per request, with the request documents.

      2. 2) Request for disclosure of information
        • * The applicant is responsible for payment of the fees for the fixed amount postal money order and the cost of postage to us. Also, please make the postal money order in bearer form.
        • * If insufficient fees are enclosed, or fees are not enclosed, we will notify you to that effect. But in the event that payment is not received within the designated period, we will treat the matter as if a request for Disclosure, etc., has not been made.
  6. Handling of Personal Information on Linked Websites
    We cannot take any responsibility for the handling of personal information on websites linked to the website operated by us that are operated by other persons (“Linked Websites”).
