The headquarters relocation also serves as a measure for achieving a work environment that respects diverse values and work styles, a matter specified as "Materiality ❻" in the Sustainability Policy of Mitsubishi Corporation Urban Development. To draw out the full potential of the human resources that are the source of MCUD's corporate vitality and competitiveness and to create work environments in which diverse people can play active roles, our company will advance promotion of diversity, work style reforms, and health and productivity management.

A new office that respects diverse values and work styles

Our company has taken our headquarters relocation as an opportunity to introduce Activity Based Working (ABW), and has prepared an enriched office environment offering options for working places including offices, homes, and telework offices. Utilizing our flextime and telework systems, we will contribute to the enhancement of employee motivation and productivity through work styles that let employees independently select times and places for work.

Three key points of the new headquarters that will accelerate the realization of our corporate identity

(1) Seven purpose-specific areas: Independently select work location to enhance productivity

Seven purpose-specific areas are available in the headquarters, enabling enhancement of productivity through selection of optimal environments for work.
(1) Communication Work Area (2) Solo Work Area (3) High-Concentration Area (4) Meeting Area (5) Refresh Area (6) Cafe Area (7) Phone Booth Area

(2) Mechanisms to encourage communication: Create new ideas

We have created mechanisms to promote cross-organizational communication and give rise to new ideas.
・ Through diagonal layouts and transforming tables, foot paths and lines of sight intersect and create connections that transcend organizations.
・At the center of the Office Area is a cafe counter offering coffee and healthy foods and drinks. This encourages informal interactions among employees gathering in the cafe.
・Facilities are available for in-house events, seminars, and study groups.

(3) An enriched IT environment made possible by an office: Work efficiently

The facility uses IT tools to raise productivity and efficiency, offering an enriched IT environment made possible only by people coming to work in the office.
・Reception and conference room reservation system
・Facial recognition-based smart lock system
・Web conferencing system in all conference rooms (monitors, web cameras, speakers)
