Completion of the innoba OTA Industry Creation/Support Shared Facility on August 31, 2023 and Signing of Partnership Agreement with Ota Ward on September 5, 2023

Mitsubishi Corporation Urban Development, Inc. (Location: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Masahito Tamura) announces that it has completed construction of innoba OTA, developed as the first project in the innoba Series of industry creation/support shared facilities, on August 31, 2023.
In addition, the municipal government of Ota Ward, Tokyo and Mitsubishi Corporation Urban Development signed a partnership and cooperative agreement concerning innoba OTA on September 5, 2023.

About the innoba brand

The innoba logo

innoba is an industry creation/support shared facility that facilitates mutual relationships among startup firms and companies engaged in manufacturing, research, and development by housing them in a single structure. Private-sector construction, operation, and development of such facilities is unusual in Japan. Mitsubishi Corporation Urban Development intends to focus even further on such initiatives unique to our company, utilizing the Mitsubishi Corporation Group's networks and broad area of contact with wide-ranging industries.

Features of innoba OTA

Characteristics of the site
Ota-ku is an area of the Tokyo metropolitan region in which manufacturing companies are concentrated. Within Ota-ku, the Rokugodote area in which innoba OTA is located hosts a particularly large concentration of manufacturing businesses. The site is located along the Daiichi Keihin thoroughfare that that connects Tokyo and Kanagawa, and offers convenient access from railway stations, bus routes, and Haneda Airport.

Characteristics of the facility
・Flexible sectioning to meet diverse needs. (Total of 32 sections (approximately 60–230m2) with removable partitions between adjacent sections)
・Facility design that takes into consideration the size, weight, electrical capacity, and other characteristics of machinery used by tenant companies in manufacturing, research, and development.
・Water supply and drainage infrastructure for all sections.
・innoba Hall, a space for relaxation by employees and for interaction with parties inside and outside the facility.

Accelerator program
As a facility that supports manufacturing, innoba OTA plans to offer an accelerator program. The facility will appoint communication managers and will undertake initiatives to support business expansion by tenant companies in partnership with Ota Ward. The facility will also actively tackle ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) issues and contribute to enhancing corporate value.

On September 5, 2023, the Ota Ward municipal government and Mitsubishi Corporation Urban Development signed a partnership and cooperative agreement by which the parties will collaborate and cooperate closely on innoba OTA while aiming for the revitalization of local industry and the development of safe, secure, and lively urban spaces in neighboring areas.
