Mitsubishi Corporation Urban Development, Inc. (Location: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Kenji Morita) and The Sankei Building Co., Ltd. (Location: Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Kazunobu Iijima) announce the completion of construction of MCUD Komaki-Kita, jointly planned by the companies in the town of Fuso, Niwa-gun, Aichi Prefecture, on April 1, 2024.
MCUD Komaki-Kita offers access to three expressways via Gifu Kagamigahara Interchange on the Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway and via Komaki Interchange, the starting and ending point of the Meishin Expressway and Tomei Expressway. The location is able to meet the need for a wide-area delivery hub servicing the Kanto, Hokuriku, and Kansai areas, and can act as a vital core hub in the Chubu area. It is also capable of serving as a regional delivery hub to the Tokai area via routes including National Route 41 (Meino Bypass), a major highway in Aichi Prefecture, and National Route 21, which connects the prefectures of Shiga and Gifu.
The facility is planned to flexibly adapt to storage, pass-through, or other modes of use, with double-sided berths in a two-level box-type configuration on the first floor. It is also multi-tenant, supporting partitioning into up to five sections to meet the needs of tenants of differing sizes.
