Multi-purpose Facilities

Osaka Dojimahama Tower

Completed in April 2024

As a plan for the reconstruction of Osaka Mitsubishi Building, long a symbol of the region, we have developed a new landmark to serve as a symbol of the city of water known as Osaka, integrated into the surrounding waterside space with consideration of its regional and historic nature. The building will be reborn as a multi-purpose building encompassing offices, a hotel, and a retail zone with 32 floors above ground and a total floor area of 67,000m². By offering new working styles and one-of-a-kind experiences, it will further enhance the appeal of its surroundings and strengthen Osaka's international competitiveness.

About the concept

On this site offering outstanding visibility at the intersection of the Dojima River and Midosuji, a major thoroughfare running north and south through Osaka, we have developed a new multi-purpose building where offices and a hotel overlap organically and functionally, under the theme of connecting the bustling activities of this city of water. To welcome visitors from around the world to the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai to be held in 2025, alongside the hotel we will set up the Midosuji Presentation Gallery (tentative name) offering a view of the Osaka cityscape from a mid-level floor. On the south side of the planned site, we will redevelop Dojima Park, including a sightseeing boat dock that will form a new waterside hub in Osaka.

An office that proposes new working styles

The building will feature high-spec offices with floor areas of 1,760m² on standard floors and a total leasable floor area of 22,700m², along with planned development of shops, childcare facilities, health facilities, and exercise facilities in lower floors. Through the 16th floor observatory terrace space and Dojima Park, which is scheduled for redevelopment on the south side of the site, we will offer a high-value-added environment supporting not only places to work but also urban lifestyles, with the aim of providing well-being (health, comfort, and convenience) in a post-pandemic workplace.

A flagship hotel featuring a sky spa with panoramic views of Osaka

Combining elegance with ease of use, CANDEO Hotel opened to deliver one-of-a-kind experiential value under the concept of a four-star hotel that leaves an impression not found in hotels until now. It welcomes guests from around the world to its 548 rooms on the 18th to 31st floors of the building, boasting fantastic views of Osaka from all guest rooms. A sky spa with open-air bath on the roof top presents a space for taking in the night view of the Osaka metropolis spreading out to the south.

About the location

Set alongside Midosuji, the main thoroughfare running north and south through Osaka, the building is sited among the offices and hotels of the high-grade area of Nakanoshima. It stands within walking distance of Yodoyabashi Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line and Oebashi Station on the Keihan Nakanoshima Line, an outstanding location even within the Dojima area for commuting and lodging.
