Mitsubishi Corporation Urban Development, Inc. (Location: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Masahito Tamura; hereinafter "Mitsubishi Corporation Urban Development") and Invesco Global Real Estate Asia Pacific, Inc. (Location: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative in Japan: Yasuyuki Tsuji; hereinafter "Invesco") announce the completion of MCUD Sapporo, jointly developed by the companies in Yonesato, Shiroishi-ku, Sapporo, on October 31, 2023.
The facility is located in the Yonesatokita Industrial Park, about 7 km from the Sapporo city center. The location enables functions as a delivery hub for the Sapporo metropolitan area and its population of 2.3 million and as a storage hub supporting wide-area logistics within Hokkaido through proximity to Sapporo Interchange on the Hokkaido Expressway and Kariki Interchange on the Sasson Expressway.
The three-story box-type logistics facility offers space of over 17,000m2, with truck berths capable of simultaneously accommodating 14 vehicles on the first floor. Tenant sections can be partitioned into two and leased from a minimum area of about 8,600m2.
The warehouse portion offers a floor load limit of 1.5t/m2 and effective height of at least 5.5m, with all-LED lighting. It is further equipped with two freight elevators, two vertical conveyers, and four dock levelers. The entire buildings is cold weather-designed to handle freezing and other conditions. Shutters on the approximately 25-meter indoor truck berths enable indoor unloading without worries over snow.
Mitsubishi Corporation Urban Development and Invesco will continue to engage in development that will let the facility contribute to the development of delivery networks and to the revitalization of the real estate market in Hokkaido.
