- Each experience has helped build my confidence.
- After graduating from university, I worked at a bank for six years. At that time, I primarily dealt with individual clients, so I had no experience in corporate sales. I also had no knowledge of real estate, but learning about it made me think it seemed like a fun industry, which led me to join. I was used to wearing a uniform at the bank, so I had no idea what to wear to work before I joined. I was anxious about using Excel and PowerPoint, but there were many kind people in the company who helped me learn each task.
I hold positions in two divisions, with my main role being the promotion of logistics facility development. My primary role is to manage projects within a set budget and schedule to ensure successful completion. Every day I interact with representatives from general contractors, who are all older and more experienced than I am. I used to worry they might think I understood nothing, and I think that anxiety came across over the phone. Now, I make sure to speak politely yet firmly and say what needs to be said. By speaking confidently, I have sensed a change in how others respond to me.

- Being able to consult and collaborate across departments is a strength.
- Rising construction costs and labor shortages are issues in this industry, and I felt this personally when I was first assigned as project manager. I faced several unexpected challenges, such as general contractors requesting additional construction costs and extensions of deadlines. Initially, I was anxious due to my lack of experience, but I was able to overcome these obstacles by consulting with different people across departments. We have no barriers between departments, and the ability to consult closely and collaborate is, I feel, a strength. I still rely heavily on my colleagues, but through handling different projects, I have learned to think of solutions systematically whenever problems arise.
Although we are a small team, we are a Mitsubishi Corporation group company and thus handle large-scale projects, but that is not the only appeal of working at this company. In logistics facilities, you can learn about everything from land acquisition to sale and be involved in the entire process. This lets you sense first-hand how profits from each project contribute to company growth. This is a major appeal of the work we do. Even someone from a different industry like me gets solid support from others. I believe this environment is one where you can grow if you have a little motivation.
